The UK has one of the poorest rates of social mobility in the developed world and it’s hitting young people hardest, with 40% of all unemployed under the age of 25. Over 1 million young people are NEET or underemployed, yet there are a record number of job vacancies, and its costing employers over £6bn a year.
Traditional recruitment fails to deliver diverse young talent with the skills employers need. We approach the problem differently. glowbees is an immersive and personalised job-readiness tool that focuses on potential over qualifications. Other solutions fish in the same talent pools, we don’t.
Skills gaps impact almost 90% of companies globally, with early careers a major pain point. The pandemic hugely accelerated online solutions, but while GenZ make up a third of the world’s population and choose employers based on inclusiveness, jobseeker values are barely factored in. A new approach is needed.
